Who doesn’t enjoy good food? We are blessed to have some good cooks here at Lone Star Mercedes-Benz and want to share our love of eating healthy and fresh with you. The instant pot is a great place to start as there are so many amazing recipes out there and it is often much quicker to sauté in the same pan, then pressure cook your meat and have it fork-tender in under an hour. There are many places to buy your instant pot; try Amazon or Best Buy.

  1. Toss beef with garlic powder, salt and pepper.

  2. Turn a 6-quart Instant Pot to sauté and add half of the olive olive oil. Brown half of the beef, about 3-5 minutes, don’t stir too much so you get a nice crust. Repeat with remaining beef

  4. Once the timer beeps, allow for a natural-release for about 15 minutes. Release any remaining pressure.

  5. Remove lid and turn to sauté bringing broth to a boil.

  6. Add Bisto and stir to thicken.

  7. Allow to simmer 2-3 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.

  8. Stir in peas and serve.

Recipe Notes

  • Add peas after stew is cooked. Throw them in frozen and let cook for another 7 minutes.
